The Summit is dubbed important for its role in economic development in the province amid rising wave of terrorism in the region.
The historic city of Peshawar is set to host the first-ever Pakistan Business Summit at the Serena Hotel. The summit will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025. The summit is likely in connection to the Islamabad Business Summit, earlier this year. LIIBS 2025 had concluded with Powerful Commitments to Innovation, Inclusion & Economic Resilience.
Under the patronage of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Summit is co-hosted by the Nutshell Group and Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited. The Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) is the Strategic Partner for this summit.
With the theme “Shaping What’s Next,” the Summit will gather thought leaders, policymakers, and corporate executives to highlight the desired directions for Pakistan’s economy, innovation ecosystem, and global competitiveness. It is one of its kind event in the history of Peshawar city.
In fact, the inaugural session will have keynote addresses by H.E. Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Chairman Senate of Pakistan & Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Finance & Revenue will also speak at the event. Senator Dr. Musadik Malik, Federal Minister for Climate Change & Environmental Coordination; Muhammad Ali, Federal Minister for Privatisation; Muzammil Aslam, Minister for Finance, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Zarrar Hasham Khan, Federal Secretary, Ministry of IT & Telecommunication will also share their views. Moreover, Kaan Terzioglu, Group Chief Executive Officer, VEON & Muhammad Atif Hanif, CEO, Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited will also address the participants. Muhammad Azfar Ahsan, Pakistan’s former Minister for Investment will be one of the speakers at the summit. Mr. Ahsan continues to engage global investors for strategic investments in Pakistan.
Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Pakistan’s Chief of Air Staff (2015-2018) & Chief Executive Strategic Engagements, Nutshell Group, will be delivering the closing address for the esteemed affair.

Although, Peshawar is in news highlights for military operations by security forces usually. Not very long ago, Prime Minister Sharif announced to implement NAP with ‘full force’ following Peshawar carnage. Several Opposition Leaders were calling for efforts to open avenues of economic opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
