Poland to Provide Job Opportunities to Pakistanis after a key meeting between Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Polish Ambassador Maciej Pisarski. The two sides agreed to open new, legal, and structured routes for Pakistani workers seeking jobs in Poland. This development signals stronger labour ties and a growing partnership.
Strengthening Labour Cooperation
The meeting focused on labour mobility and the future of Pakistan–Poland relations. Chaudhry Salik Hussain highlighted the urgent need for legal migration channels. He stressed that safe routes would protect workers while supporting Poland’s labour demand.
In response, Ambassador Pisarski confirmed Poland’s interest in Pakistani workers. He noted that Poland values their skills and will welcome them in several sectors. Moreover, he praised Pakistan’s ability to supply trained manpower abroad.
Pakistan’s Export and Trade Performance
The minister shared strong trade figures to underline bilateral trust. Pakistan exported $450 million worth of goods to Poland last year. Major exports included textiles, leather products, and sports goods.
This performance, he explained, strengthens economic ties. Furthermore, it provides a solid base for expanding cooperation in employment and workforce mobility.
Poland’s Support and Condolences
Ambassador Pisarski also expressed sympathy for the victims of Pakistan’s recent floods. He assured that Poland stands with Pakistan in difficult times.
In addition, he pointed out that Poland offers many job opportunities for Pakistanis. At the same time, he highlighted that Warsaw has implemented strict rules to prevent illegal immigration. These measures, he added, will help workers travel safely through official channels.
Upcoming Diplomatic Visit and MoUs
Another milestone is approaching. Poland’s Foreign Minister will visit Pakistan in October. During the trip, the two governments will sign several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
These agreements will likely cover:
- Worker recruitment mechanisms
- Easier visa processes
- Legal migration frameworks
- Joint training and skill development programs
As a result, Pakistanis will benefit from safer migration and more job access in Poland.
Pakistan’s Overseas Workforce – A Global Force
Hussain noted that Pakistan remains one of the largest suppliers of labour worldwide. Over the last year, 742,000 Pakistanis secured overseas jobs. With this achievement, Pakistan now ranks fourth globally in workforce exports.
He added that pilot projects with Japan and Korea are already working successfully. Now, Poland is set to join as a major new partner.
Active Job Opportunities in Poland
The Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment (BE&OE) currently lists a variety of jobs in Poland. Positions include:
- Ship hull assemblers
- Steel fixers
- Bricklayers
- Carpenters
Salaries range from 6,000 to 6,500 Polish Zloty per month, equal to $1,400–$1,500. In some cases, employers also provide meals and housing.
In addition, Poland needs workers in agriculture, construction, hospitality, and production. These fields offer wages between 9 and 15 PLN per hour. That equals roughly $2.5–$3.5 per hour.
Combating Illegal Immigration
Both governments underlined the importance of discouraging illegal migration. Hussain stated that Pakistan has already launched strong actions against human trafficking. He urged workers to use official, government-approved routes only.
The Polish Ambassador welcomed these steps. According to him, safe and legal migration will protect the dignity and rights of Pakistani workers in Poland.
A New Gateway to Europe
For Pakistani workers, Poland represents more than a job destination. It also opens the door to the wider European labour market. With clear migration rules and rising demand for manpower, Poland is quickly becoming an attractive option.
