Cricket West Indies (CWI) has called an urgent West Indies emergency meeting to fix one of the worst moments in its Test history. The team crumbled for just 27 runs at home against Australia. This was the second-lowest Test total ever and sealed a 3-0 series defeat. The result forced CWI to act fast.
CWI President Kishore Shallow wants a fresh plan. He called the Cricket Strategy and Officiating Committee for an emergency session. He also asked legends Sir Clive Lloyd, Sir Vivian Richards, and Brian Lara to join the talks with Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Desmond Haynes, and Ian Bradshaw.

“To strengthen these talks, I invited three of our greatest batsmen: Lloyd, Richards, and Lara,” Shallow said. These legends scored nearly 28,000 Test runs combined. They know what winning takes.
Shallow stressed this West Indies emergency meeting must deliver action. “This is not for show,” he said. “Their insights will help shape the next phase of our cricket. We need clear, real steps.”
For years, T20 leagues have pulled players away from red-ball cricket. Many young stars prefer quick money and ignore Tests. Fans feel angry about the slide and want strong reforms to rebuild pride.
However, CWI believes Lloyd, Richards, and Lara can help revive the old fighting spirit. They want to fix local cricket, develop fresh Test players, and rebuild discipline. The meeting will push for practical ways to make West Indies tough again.
Many believe this move can end years of decline if leaders follow through. The next few weeks will show if West Indies can bounce back or sink deeper.
