The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will soon transform how fans watch local cricket. It plans to launch a dedicated app and in-house broadcast platform for live streaming domestic matches and sharing highlights worldwide.
Director of Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi confirmed this plan. He explained that the new platform is part of the PCB’s strategy to expand local cricket’s reach and improve its commercial value.
Domestic cricket has long struggled to reach fans consistently, even though it produces the country’s top talent. Popular events like the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and National T20 Cup often lacked steady coverage. As a result, many fans lost touch with local competitions that shape Pakistan’s future stars.
The new digital platform will change that. Fans will soon enjoy live matches, instant highlights, player interviews, and behind-the-scenes glimpses — all in one place. For the first time, domestic players will have a dedicated broadcast channel. They will no longer depend on scattered clips on social media or limited third-party coverage.
Abdullah Khurram Niazi shared that PCB will use in-house cameras to stream matches live. Matches not streamed in full will still have highlights uploaded to the app. This approach ensures no game goes unnoticed.
While the PCB has not revealed a launch date yet, officials expect the app to go live before the next domestic season begins. The app is part of wider upgrades in Pakistan’s domestic setup. PCB also aims to improve tournament formats, playing conditions, and training programs for players.
The PCB to Launch Dedicated App and Broadcast Platform for Domestic Cricket Coverage could revive interest in local tournaments and boost young talent’s visibility. More fans will connect with players who might soon wear the national jersey.
Cricket experts believe this step will narrow the gap between local and international cricket viewership. It may also attract new sponsors and advertisers to domestic matches.
Pakistan’s cricket lovers now have a reason to get excited about local cricket again. The PCB wants fans to enjoy high-quality coverage anytime and anywhere.
