Jasprit Bumrah makes cut for India’s Champions Trophy squad. The Indian squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan and Dubai was announced on the official website of the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Saturday. Jasprit Bumrah has been included in the team, to the relief of Indian cricket fans.

Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Arsdeep Singh, Yashvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja.
Bumrah’s inclusion comes as a relief to Indian cricket fans, as their star fast bowler, who has been exceptional of late, was ruled out of the last Test against Australia due to a back injury.
Sharma will lead the squad as India look to win their third Champions Trophy. India is in Group A and will play their three-group stage matches on February 20, February 23 and March 2. They will face Bangladesh before a blockbuster clash against Pakistan. They will conclude their group stage matches with a game against New Zealand.
All India matches will be held in Dubai due to the hybrid format being agreed, which will see all Pakistan and India matches in ICC events being held at neutral venues until 2028.
