As per the details, speaking to a private news channel, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz said that winds entering Balochistan from Iran are likely to bring rain around January 20. He added that northern areas will also witness rain and snowfall after this period.
However, there will be no rain in Karachi during this weather system, Sarfaraz noted.
According to the Meteorological Department, a cold wave continues in Karachi, with a temperature of 12 degrees Celsius recorded. Strong winds are forecast in the city today, and it is expected to remain partly cloudy over the next 24 hours.
The minimum temperature in the city dropped to 11 degrees Celsius while the maximum could go up to 25 degrees Celsius. The humidity level is 71%, and the wind speed is 10 kilometers per hour.
Meanwhile, Karachi ranks as the sixth most polluted city worldwide with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 184, indicating hazardous pollution levels. Residents, especially those with respiratory problems, are urged to take necessary precautions.
