Pakistan’s Passport is only ahead of four nations i.e. Yemen, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.
Passport Power: Pakistan Ranks 103 which is lower than the Occupied Palestinian Territory which ranks 100 in the Global Rankings. Pakistan’s Passport Ranking was Fourth-Worst Globally in 2024. The country could not change much of it. In 2024, people with Pakistani Passports had visa free access to 34 countries around the world. In 2025, people with Pakistani Passports have visa free access to 33 countries across the world.
These latest rankings for Passport Power in 2025 were announced by the Henley Passport Index. Henley Passport Index is the original, authoritative ranking of all the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa. This index is based on exclusive data from International Air Transport Association (IATA). Moreover, the Henley & Partners’ research team studies and classifies the data on multiple parameters to develop the index.
For past several years, Pakistan’s Passport has seen devaluation on multiple fronts. For instance, Saudi authorities recovered 12,000 Pakistani passports from Afghan nationals in 2023. Pakistani authorities were involved in issuing fake citizenship documents to illegal migrants in the country, especially Afghans. The political crisis in Pakistan resulted in cancelation of 23 Pakistani Passports whose owners were involved in attacking former Chief Justice of Pakistan in London, United Kingdom. Recently, Pakistan cancelled passports of 4700 citizens imprisoned in UAE.
In 2025, Singapore tops the list. It had top ranking in the previous year as well. The passport holders of Singapore enjoy visa free access to 195 countries globally, or literally across the world. Japan stands at the second spot on the global index. Its citizens enjoy visa free access to 193 countries. Moreover, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland, South Korea retain the third position with visa free access to 192 countries.
