Iranian Ambassador Reaffirms support for Kashmir and Palestine, criticizes UN inaction
Mushaal praises Iran for strong support of Kashmir & Palestine. Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the wife of jailed Kashmiri leader Mohammad Yasin Malik, praised the Iranian government and people for their steadfast support for the Kashmiri and Palestinian struggles. During a meeting with Iranian Ambassador Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam, she condemned human rights abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine and called on the Muslim world to unite in opposing these injustices.
Mullick also revealed that Yasin Malik had ended his hunger strike after the Delhi High Court ordered authorities to provide him with necessary medical care. She expressed concern about delays in his treatment and urged for his immediate transfer to a hospital of his choice.
Ambassador Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam reiterated Iran‘s unwavering commitment to the causes of Kashmir and Palestine. He condemned the oppressive actions of Israel and India, calling for an economic boycott of Israel and stronger international action. He also criticized the United Nations for its failure to take meaningful steps to stop the ongoing human rights violations in both regions. Dr. Moghaddam emphasized that the plight of Kashmiris has long been a key issue for Iran and expressed hope that the OIC would issue a strong statement in support of Palestine.
