Federal Govt announces Public Holiday on Iqbal Day. The federal government has declared a public holiday on November 9th, 2024, in observance of Iqbal Day. According to an official notification, all government and private institutions across the country will remain closed on this day, which falls on a Saturday.

This year marks the 147th birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the renowned philosopher, poet, and politician, often referred to as the “Shair-e-Mashriq” (Poet of the East). Iqbal’s contributions to literature, philosophy, and the ideology of Pakistan are celebrated nationwide, and the day will be observed with various events and ceremonies.
