Adiala Jail denies PTI claims, discloses s Imran Khan’s menu. Adiala Jail authorities, denying PTI’s claims regarding the alleged ill-treatment of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, have revealed the menu of luxury food served to him in the jail.
The revelation of the menu came after PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan’s comments about Imran Khan’s treatment after meeting him in Adiala Jail, where he has been incarcerated for over a year.
Gohar alleged that Imran was kept in harsh conditions, without electricity for five days and no access to newspapers or TV for two weeks. He also claimed that Imran was only allowed outside his cell for two-and-a-half hours a day and condemned his “mistreatment” as a violation of his constitutional rights.
In response, the Adiala Jail authorities issued a statement saying that Imran Khan is getting all the facilities he is entitled to under the B-Class Prison rules, including uninterrupted electricity, regular meals and opportunities for exercise.
He highlighted that his food is specially prepared by a professional cook, with ingredients such as coffee, chia seeds, local chicken and mutton.
Officials added that Imran’s health is regularly monitored, with three daily medical check-ups by domestic doctors and a recent check-up by doctors at PIMS. He dismissed claims of isolation and inadequate treatment as “baseless” and stressed that all safety and legal protocols were being followed.
