KP govt launches digital training with internships & Google scholarships. The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Pakistan has launched Digital Training to benefit youth by providing flexible, engaging learning opportunities that enhance skills such as digital literacy and problem solving.
The provincial government has taken a major step towards promoting digital skills and economic growth with the launch of several new initiatives led by the Khyber KPIT Board.
KP Digital Internship Program
The new digital internship program offers 200 internship positions for fresh graduates. These internships, which are located in IT companies in Peshawar, Abbottabad and other regions to improve job readiness in the tech industry.
A new online platform Join IT has been introduced to connect skilled professionals with IT companies seeking technical expertise. The portal will facilitate job placement by aligning local talent with industry requirements.
Google Partnership for Digital Skills

These scholarships will enable recipients to obtain certification in high-demand digital skills, bridging the gap between traditional education and current job market needs.
Chief Minister Gandapur welcomed the 2024 startup cohort at KPITB’s flagship business incubation centre Durshal. This group of 20 startups, representing districts like Swabi, Peshawar, Mardan and Swat, continues Durshal’s tradition of promoting entrepreneurship. To date, Durshal has supported 173 startups, creating over 1,600 jobs and generating revenues of PKR 751 million.
A new batch of fellows has joined the Government Innovation Fellowship Programme. These fellows will collaborate with government departments to develop digital solutions aimed at addressing challenges and improving public sector performance.
