1Link officials, on the other hand, have confirmed that there are connectivity issues with some banks, adding that efforts are underway to restore services.
Are you facing trouble with ATM cash withdrawals? Here’s what to know. Customers of various banks are facing problems while using Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in some parts of Pakistan due to communication disruption between 1Link and banks.
Reports say that people are frustrated with ATMs being out of order as they are unable to withdraw cash for their needs.
According to local media in Pakistan, customers complained that they were also facing problems while doing online transactions.
1Link officials, on the other hand, have confirmed that there are connectivity issues with some banks, adding that efforts are underway to restore services.
Last month, 1LINK issued a public advisory to refute rumors circulating on social media and WhatsApp warning that ATMs and online banking services in Pakistan were under cyber attack.
The payment gateway system urged the public to ignore these baseless claims.
“In response to the fake news circulating in the media about potential closure of ATMs, it is clarified that currently there is no such issue of non availability/closure of LDI networks that may potentially impact IT or financial sector including ATM networks,” the PTA had said in its statement.
The authority added that operations of the expired LDI licensees are not suspended or shutdown.
