WhatsApp is also testing a new feature that will offer users a “filter”, which will quickly retrieve their list of favorites from the Chats tab on Android.
ISLAMABAD: Meta-owned app WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will prevent users from taking screenshots of profile pictures on iOS.
A message will appear on the screen informing users that taking screenshots of profile photos is blocked, as seen in the image shared by WABetaInfo.
This is being done to protect everyone’s privacy on the app.
By preventing users from capturing and sharing profile photos without the owner’s consent, the option will offer an extra layer of privacy protection, according to the report.
Although, people can still take pictures from other devices or cameras but blocking the screenshot feature within the app will definitely reduce unauthorized sharing of profile photos.
