TikTok removes 18 million videos from Pakistan in 3-month. Social media platform TikTok has removed 176 million videos worldwide during the period of October to December 2023, which is about 1.0% of all videos uploaded to the platform.
According to reports, 128 million videos were identified and removed by automated detection technologies, while 8 million videos were reinstated after further review.
In Pakistan alone, the platform took action against 18 million videos for violating its community guidelines in the fourth quarter, underscoring its commitment to effectively combating violations.

Notably, approximately 95.3% of videos that violated the guidelines were removed within 24 hours of posting, and the active removal rate for the quarter was an impressive 99.5% globally.
In a global effort to protect underage users, TikTok also deleted 19.84 million accounts suspected of belonging to people under the age of 13.
