PTI’s request for March 30 rally in Islamabad denied. Islamabad’s Deputy Commissioner has refused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) permission to hold a rally in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) on March 30, it emerged on Sunday.
PTI leader Aamir Mughal’s request to the ICT administration was turned down by the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, citing concerns over the law and order situation.
The district administration has reiterated its stance that, in light of prevailing circumstances, protests cannot be permitted at any location, including D-Chowk.
It is noteworthy that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad to make a decision regarding the application.

However, the Deputy Commissioner rejected the request, citing the risks associated to the current law and order situation prevalent in the capital and elsewhere in the country.
This development comes amid ongoing political tensions and security concerns in the capital.
While the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has made significant announcements for the city of Peshawar.
Selected representatives from the national and provincial levels met with Ali Amin Gandapur in Peshawar, where discussions were held regarding public issues and potential solutions.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that Peshawar is a city for all, and its development and progress are priorities for everyone.
He announced plans to transform Peshawar into a city adorned with flowers once again within two months, and to transition the city’s street lights to solar energy.
Additionally, plans were discussed to alleviate traffic congestion by introducing a train system in the city. Talks have already been initiated with a private company to operate trains on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) model.
Ali Amin Gandapur acknowledged the severity of the sanitation issue in Peshawar and assured that it would be addressed on a priority basis. He also mentioned plans to overhaul the sanitation system by moving it underground and empowering local governments for effective management.
