In a significant diplomatic meeting, Pakistani-American businessman Shahid Ahmed Khan, currently serving as the Advisor to the President of the United States Joe Biden on Arts and Culture, engaged in discussions with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister/Minister of State for Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick, in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The meeting delved into topics of mutual interest, with a particular focus on global peace and interfaith harmony. Both parties explored potential collaborations to contribute towards global peace, emphasizing the resolution of disputes in regions such as Kashmir, Palestine, and Ukraine.
A central theme of the discussion was the relationship between respect for human rights and global peace. The conversation highlighted human rights violations affecting prisoners of war/detainees in Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir (IIOK), Palestine, and Ukraine, underscoring their impact on global peace and security.
Recognizing the transcendent nature of art, the meeting underscored the importance of cultural diplomacy in fostering collaboration and conflict resolution. Both parties expressed their commitment to leveraging cultural initiatives as effective tools for reconciliation.
