The case was registered at Hyderi Police Station following court orders. After the backlash, Rajab Butt apologized publicly and met with several religious scholars, including Allama Makhdum Asim, Mufti Ashiq Hussain, Allama Ashraf Rabbani, and Allama Muhammad Ishtiaq Ashrafi. During the meeting, he explained his intentions and expressed deep regret for the video. He also recorded a video apology, stating that he never meant to disrespect prayer and would not repeat such actions.
Despite his apology, the case is still ongoing, and further legal proceedings are underway.
