Teenage TikToker Murdered in Islamabad

Teenage TikToker Sana Yousaf Murdered in Islamabad

The accused, who had allegedly come to meet Yousaf at her residence, is said to have fired two shots, resulting in her death.

Sana Yousaf was just 17 years old. She was a cheerful and creative girl who loved making videos on TikTok. With over 740,000 followers, she had built a community of fans who enjoyed her content and celebrated her fun-loving personality.

It is pertinent to mention that she had recently turned 17 and, like many girls her age, was dreaming big.

But on a quiet Monday evening in Islamabad, her life was tragically cut short.

Sana lived with her family in Sector G-13-1 of the city. Her father is a government officer, her mother a homemaker, and her younger brother, 15, is currently in Chitral visiting family after finishing his school exams. That day, her father was out for work and her mother had stepped out to the local market. At home with Sana was her aunt, who had been visiting for a few days.

Conversation Turns Deadly!

According to police reports, a young man, someone Sana reportedly knew, came to visit her. What started as a conversation turned into something horrifying. Sana’s aunt, who was nearby, heard her say, Go away from here. There are cameras all around. I will fetch you some water. Moments later, two gunshots rang out. Sana was shot in the chest and died on the spot.

Her lifeless body was taken to PIMS Hospital for a postmortem. A murder case has been filed under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Her mother, who filed the FIR, told police that she could identify the suspect if she saw him again.

This is not the first time a young female content creator has been targeted in Pakistan. In recent months, there has been a disturbing rise in violence against young women who express themselves on social media. From Punjab to Peshawar, Sialkot to Quetta, several TikTokers, many just teenagers, have been killed, often by people they knew or trusted.

Sana’s death has left her family devastated and her followers heartbroken.

She was a bright, young girl with a passion for life and a strong presence online. Her story is a painful reminder of how vulnerable young women can be, not just online but even in their own homes.

As the police investigation continues and more details come to light, her family and the public are hoping for justice.

Sana’s smile lit up the screens of thousands. Today, those screens are filled with grief.
