Shan Masood ties the knot with Nische Khan in intimate Nikah ceremony

Cricketer Shan Masood Weds Nische Khan

Masood will host a Valima reception for his freinds and family in Karachi on January 27.

Pakistani cricketer Shan Masood has started a new chapter in his life after marrying Nische Khan in a beautiful and intimate Nikah ceremony in Peshawar.

Close friends, family members, and several well-known cricketers, including Shahid Afridi and Shadab Khan, joined the celebration. Reports say the Rukhsati will also take place in Peshawar, while Shan plans to host a Valima reception in Karachi on January 27.

The wedding festivities began earlier this week. Soon after, photos and videos from the ceremony flooded social media. In the pictures, Shan looked elegant in a simple white kurta and trousers. His bride, Nische, stole the spotlight in a sky-blue lehnga with silver embroidery and pink and white floral jewelry. When the couple exchanged rings, fans quickly made #ShanMasood trend across social media.

Born on October 14, 1989, in Kuwait, Shan represents Pakistan in all three formats of cricket. He has played 27 Tests, five ODIs, and 19 T20Is, and he featured in Pakistan’s T20 World Cup 2022 squad.

Beyond international cricket, Shan signed a two-year contract with Yorkshire County Cricket Club, where he will lead the team as captain. He comes from a respected family. His father, Mansoor Masood Khan, is a banker, and his uncle, Waqar Masood Khan, worked as an adviser to former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Shan’s journey has also carried personal sorrow. Last year, he lost his elder sister, who battled a rare chromosome disorder. His younger brother works as a barrister.

This season has turned into a celebration of love for Pakistani cricketers. Haris Rauf recently married his classmate Muzna Masood Malik, and Shaheen Shah Afridi will wed Ansha Afridi, daughter of Shahid Afridi, on February 3, 2023.

Fans continue to shower Shan and Nische with blessings online, making their wedding one of the most talked-about moments in Pakistan’s cricketing circles this week.
