The engagement ceremony was held privately at the family home in Lahore’s Model Town. Junaid got engaged to the granddaughter of Mian Javed Shafi, who is a close relative of Nawaz Sharif. The bride’s family has strong ties with the Sharif family, making this engagement a union of two closely connected families.
The event was attended by close family members, including Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Javed Shafi. The official nikah ceremony is expected to happen in the coming weeks.
Junaid’s previous marriage was with Ayesha Saif, daughter of a Qatar-based businessman. They married in a grand wedding in London in 2021 but separated in October 2023. Since then, Junaid has been back in Pakistan, supporting his mother in her political work. Besides his political background, he is also recognized for his academic success.
