27-year-old national cricketer is set to tie the knot with his betrothed, Anmol Mehmood, this weekend.
Pakistani cricketer Imam-ul-Haq’s wedding celebrations have officially begun, starting with a beautiful mehndi event in Norway. The 27-year-old national player is set to marry Anmol Mehmood this weekend after returning from the World Cup 2023 campaign in India.
Photos and videos from the mehndi quickly spread online, showing Anmol dressed in a stunning deep red and dull gold bridal outfit. Her look was completed with touches of orange and purple that added a lively touch to the traditional ensemble. The event took place at a breathtaking location in Norway, and Anmol shared glimpses of the celebration on her Instagram account.
The designer also posted pictures of the bride with the caption “Imam ki Anmol,” tagging both Imam and his future wife, which caught the attention of fans and well-wishers across social media.
After the mehndi in Norway, the main wedding festivities will continue in Lahore. Reports suggest that the celebrations will begin with a qawwali night on November 23, followed by the nikah ceremony on November 25 and the valima reception on November 26. Imam is reportedly planning to wear a traditional Prince coat for his big day.
Many of his teammates, including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, and Shadab Khan, are expected to attend the wedding. Invitations have also been extended to former players and members of the cricket management.
Since the festivities overlap with Pakistan’s training camp for the upcoming Test series against Australia, Imam will reportedly join the camp a little later. The camp will continue at the Pindi Cricket Stadium until November 28, and the team is scheduled to fly out to Australia on November 30.
Fans are overjoyed for Imam-ul-Haq as he steps into this new chapter of his life, celebrating love, family, and happiness surrounded by friends and teammates.
