FIA Detains Nadia Hussain’s Husband in Major Bank Fraud Case. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested Atif Muhammad Khan, the husband of popular actress and model Nadia Hussain, in Karachi. He is accused of embezzling more than Rs500 million from a private bank where he previously worked.
According to FIA officials, a case has been registered at the Corporate Crime Circle Karachi after the bank’s group head filed a complaint. Investigators say the total fraud could exceed Rs1 billion, involving serious financial misconduct and manipulation of company accounts.
Authorities allege that Atif Khan, along with the bank’s Chief Financial Officer and several other officials, violated banking laws, approved fake transactions, and altered financial records to hide the embezzlement.
Atif Khan had been serving as the CEO of the bank’s securities division before the alleged fraud came to light.
The arrest has also drawn public attention because of his marriage to Nadia Hussain, one of Pakistan’s most recognized models and actresses. Nadia and Atif have been married since 2003 and are parents to four children.
Nadia Hussain, who also owns a popular beauty salon in Karachi, has not yet commented on the situation. The news has shocked fans across the country, as the couple has always been seen as one of the most respected and admired in Pakistan’s entertainment and fashion circles.
FIA officials have confirmed that investigations are still ongoing and more arrests may follow as the case unfolds.
