Najiba Faiz, born on 1 August 1988 in Kunduz, Afghanistan, is a prominent Afghan-Pakistani television host, actress, journalist, and model. Her family relocated to Pakistan during the Afghan war, where she grew up in Peshawar before moving to Karachi and Islamabad. She began her career as a child artist in 2002 on PTV’s children’s program “Story” and gained recognition through her lead role in the Pashto drama “Rogh Lewani.”
Najiba made history as the first Pashtoon woman to serve as program manager and host on AVT Khyber, where she hosted a morning show for seven consecutive years. Transitioning to Urdu-language television, she earned acclaim for her performances in popular dramas such as Sang-e‑Mar Mar, Sangsar, Mohabbat Khawab Safar, and Meri Shehzadi. She also appeared in notable films including Khuda Ke Liye and Saawan.
Academically, she holds a bachelor’s degree from Abdul Wali Khan University and pursued a master’s in journalism.
