“If God has permitted something, it is permitted. Just because I am not doing it, it does not change anything,” he said.
Danish Taimoor Apologizes for Multiple Marriage Remarks. Prominent Pakistani Actor Danish Taimoor has apologized after receiving strong criticism for his comments about multiple marriages during a live Ramadan show.
In a video message shared on Instagram, Danish admitted that his choice of words was not appropriate. He said he never meant to disrespect his wife, Ayeza Khan, and that people had misunderstood his intentions.
“I know many of you are upset with me. Whatever happened that day, it was not meant to hurt anyone. Some people think I disrespected my wife, but that was never my intention,” he said.
Danish explained that throughout his 18-year career, he has always tried to stay away from controversies. “If my words have hurt anyone, I sincerely apologize,” he added.
He went on to clarify that he often uses the word “filhal” (for now) because he likes to focus on the present. “I didn’t mean anything wrong by it. It was just a slip of the tongue,” he explained.
Danish said that his only goal is to entertain people and bring them happiness. “I want everyone to be as happy as I am with my wife and children. There are no issues between Ayeza and me. Thank God, we are happy,” he shared. “Please keep us in your prayers and stay happy too.”
The controversy began when Danish, who co-hosts Mehfil-e-Ramadan with Rabia Anam, had Ayeza Khan as a guest on the show. During their conversation, he joked about his right to have four marriages, saying that although Islam allows it, he chooses to stay with Ayeza because of his love and respect for her.
His comments, however, did not sit well with many viewers, who felt they were insensitive. Danish’s public apology was seen as an effort to clear the air and show respect for his fans and his family.
