Pakistani singing sensation Aima Baig has hit back after fellow singer Sara Raza Khan claimed that she wouldn’t be successful without using autotune.
The controversy began when Sara appeared on a private TV channel and commented, “If we take out the option of autotune, then Aima Baig is not a singer at all. There are many other names like her.”
Aima, known for her confidence and humor, responded in her own playful way on Instagram. Instead of directly attacking Sara, she reshared posts from fans who posted videos of her live performances to prove her vocal talent.
In one of her Instagram Stories, Aima wrote, “Allah nay jisko jitna talent diya hamain kabool hai. Baaki mujhe koi bata de, yeh aunty sahiba kaun hain? Actually chhoro, main to vacation enjoy karti hoon LOL.”
Her comment, which roughly means, “We accept whatever talent Allah has given us. By the way, can someone tell me who this aunty is? Actually, never mind, I should just enjoy my vacation,” quickly went viral as fans praised her for handling the criticism with grace and humor.
Aima Baig, who started her career in 2016, is now one of Pakistan’s most popular playback singers. She has delivered hit songs for blockbuster films such as Lahore Se Aagay, Teefa in Trouble, and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2. She has also collaborated with top artists including Ali Zafar, Asim Azhar, and Sahir Ali Bagga.
Her achievements include the prestigious Tamgha-e-Fakhre-Imtiaz, highlighting her talent and hard work.
The exchange between the two singers has sparked debate among music fans about real talent, vocal authenticity, and the role of technology in modern music. Despite the controversy, Aima seems unfazed and continues to enjoy her success, and her vacation.
