Dananeer Mobeen is once again the talk of Pakistani media industry. HUM TV just dropped the first teaser for her new drama, Hurmat. Her fans wasted no time reacting and within hours, the clip was everywhere on social media.
From Viral Video to TV Star
Most people remember Dananeer Mobeen from a short video clip that took over the internet back in 2021. She was just a teenager at that time holding a phone camera and saying one line that somehow turned into a nationwide meme. Everyone was quoting her famous dialogue “Party Ho Rahi Hai” for months across the globe.
Right after that viral clip she did not just stayed an internet personality, but she moved into acting. Her television debut came with Sinf-e-Aahan on ARY Digital, a drama that gave her real credibility as a performer. That role even earned her the Best Emerging Talent award at the Lux Style Awards in 2023.
From there, Dananeer Mobeen’s career kept climbing steadily. She led Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri in 2023, followed by Very Filmy in 2024. Then came Meem Se Mohabbat which ran across 2024 and 2025 and pulled in a loyal fanbase. She also stepped into films this year with Mera Lyari, marking her big-screen debut.
What Is Hurmat All About?
Hurmat means in Urdu honour or sanctity. And based on the teaser, that meaning runs right through the story. Dananeer Mobeen plays the title character, a young woman kept almost like a prisoner inside her own home by her strict father.

The teaser opens with something small but powerful. Hurmat is shown looking properly at the sky for the very first time, from inside her own house. She is not even allowed to attend university, something most young women take for granted. One line from the teaser captures her struggle perfectly “A woman gets a surname twice.” It hints at everything the drama seems ready to explore, identity, ownership, and freedom.
The official summary puts it beautifully too. It reads, “Hurmat is a story of dreams, boundaries, and the courage to question them.” That is a heavy theme for prime time television, but writer Kashif Anwar has handled similar subjects before. His earlier hit work includes Sabaat, which dealt with harassment and mental health and Neem too that was built around social reform in a feudal setting.
Meet the Cast
Dananeer Mobeen is not carrying this drama alone. Javed Sheikh plays a key figure who helps Hurmat take her very first steps toward the outside world. Ali Tahir plays the role of her controlling father, the man responsible for the walls she is trying to break down.
The most talked-about casting choice right now is Shahveer Jafry. He is a hugely popular digital creator, known for his YouTube content and music video appearances, and Hurmat marks his first real step into television acting. Pairing a well-known digital personality with an established TV name is already generating buzz across fan pages. Many are calling it one of the boldest casting decisions HUM TV has made this year.
The project is written by Kashif Anwar, directed by Nadeem Siddique, and produced under the respected banner of Momina Duraid Productions. That combination of all three alone has raised expectations, since Momina Duraid has produced several of Pakistan’s biggest drama hits over the years.
Why Fans Are So Excited
Part of the excitement comes from timing too. Pakistani dramas have been experimenting more with digital-first stars lately, testing whether online fame can actually translate into serious acting careers. Dananeer Mobeen already proved that shift works. Now, with Shahveer Jafry stepping into the same space, audiences are curious whether this pair would make good relation too.
HUM TV has not confirmed an exact release date yet. Reports suggest filming may still be underway behind the scenes. But based on how the teaser has performed online, expectations are already sky-high before a single full episode has aired.
