ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan national football team has not been able to depart for Dushanbe to play their final round two away fixture of the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Tajikistan tomorrow.
As per the details, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has claimed that “we managed to secure a flight to Tajikistan today, but unfortunately, it was cancelled due to technical issues,” adding that the airport authorities have told them that a flight will be arranged in the morning and they will receive an update in due time.
It is pertinent to mention that the match is scheduled for tomorrow, June 11th, at 8 p.m. Pakistan time.

However, the national football team is currently facing an unforeseen circumstance. Nine of our players and two officials are still in Pakistan due to travel disruptions.
Earlier on Friday, the Pakistan’s football team failed to proceed to Tajikistan after its flight was cancelled.
National team had to fly out of Faisalabad for Dushanbe on Friday.
However, the flight’s departure got delayed twice before it was cancelled. Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee approached PIA for a chartered flight to take the team to Tajikistan.
As per the reports, the PIA refused to provide a plane to the team as according to it all its jets were booked already. Tajikistan team also came to Pakistan last November via a chartered flight.
There is no direct flight from Pakistan. NC spokesperson said that NC has also approached another airline. While eight members of the Pakistan team have already reached Dushanbe.
