Iranian President’s Visit Strengthens Bilateral Relations with Pakistan: Joint Statement.
Islamabad: In a joint statement issued today, it has been announced that the visit of the President of Iran to Pakistan has resulted in a mutual agreement to enhance bilateral trade and cooperation in various sectors, including energy.
According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, both countries have agreed to increase mutual trade to up to $10 billion over the next five years, focusing particularly on energy projects such as electricity transmission and the IP gas pipeline project.
The visit, which took place from April 22nd to April 24th, saw President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi of Iran being welcomed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
