Muslim World League Promotes Interfaith Harmony and Women Empowerment: Mushaal Mullick Meets with MWL Secretary General
In a significant meeting held in Islamabad, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, former Prime Minister’s special assistant for Human Rights and Women Empowerment, engaged with Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Issa, Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL), discussing various crucial issues including the Kashmir situation and women empowerment.
Mushaal Mullick commended the MWL’s pivotal role in promoting interfaith harmony, peace, and social cohesion. She highlighted the organization’s efforts in presenting the true principles of Islam, advocating for moderation and inclusivity, and combating extremism and violence.
During their discussion, both Mushaal Mullick and Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the importance of respecting all religions, fostering interfaith harmony, and promoting peace as essential for global stability. They agreed that regardless of faith, religion, race, or nationality, peace and respect for humanity are indispensable for averting conflicts and achieving harmonious coexistence.
Expressing gratitude for MWL’s humanitarian initiatives, Mushaal Mullick acknowledged the distribution of food packets to Kashmiri refugees in Azad Jammu and Kashmir during Ramadan, showcasing the organization’s commitment to alleviating the plight of marginalized communities.
The meeting also delved into issues of women empowerment within Islamic guidelines, underscoring the MWL’s role in promoting the tolerant values of Islam as outlined in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah.
Sabien Hussein Mullick, Secretary General of the Peace and Culture Organisation, praised MWL’s efforts in addressing the challenges facing the Muslim Ummah and advocating for the resolution of longstanding issues such as Kashmir and Palestine. He commended MWL’s role in raising awareness about the suffering of oppressed Muslim communities and fostering dialogue to resolve conflicts.

Dr. Mohammad Al-Issa concluded the meeting with a special prayer for the Muslim Ummah, particularly for the people of Kashmir, Palestine, and Pakistan, and for the safe release of Mohammad Yasin Malik.
The presence of Sabien Hussein Mullick, Secretary General of the Peace and Culture Organisation, and little Raziyah Sultana underscored the importance of the meeting in promoting peace, dialogue, and cooperation among diverse communities.
