JI Leaders Hold Crucial Talks with Sirajul Haq: Deliberate on Coalition Decision with PTI
Siraj-Ul-Haq’s Resignation Rejected. Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) rejected the resignation of Siraj-ul-Haq on Saturday, saying that JI has full trust in Siraj-ul-Haq as Party chief.
Party spokesperson Qaiser Sharif in a statement on Saturday said that the Central Majlis Shura unanimously rejected Sirajul Haq’s resignation.
Jamaat-e-Islami’s Majlis Shura held a meeting under the chairmanship of Jamaat-e-Islami vice amir Liaquat Baloch, the members of the Shura said that Sirah-ul-Haq should fulfill the responsibilities of the Jamaat as before.
Later the meeting, JI leaders including Liaquat Baloch, Ameerul Azim, Rashid Naseem, Professor Ibrahim, and Asadullah Bhutto met Sirajul Haq to discuss important decision regarding the coalition with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

On Feb 12, Siraj ul Haq decided to resign as leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami after the party’s poor performance in the general election 2024. JI failed to grab a single seat in the National Assembly and Punjab. The right-wing party only managed to get 2 seats each in Sindh and KP Assembly.
The Siraj-led party has failed to win a single National Assembly seat, however, it grabbed five provincial seats.
