Empowering Marginalized Women & Addressing Key Issues: SAPM’s Vision.
Mushaal Urges Global Action on Humanitarian Crises in Palestine & IIOJK. In a recent roundtable meeting at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick has delivered a powerful address as the Chief Guest, highlighting the imperative role of human rights in fostering global peace and stability.
Addressing the audience, which included senior officials of LCCI such as Senior Vice President Zafar Mahmood Chaudhry, Mullick shed light on the concerning violations occurring in Palestine and Indian Occupied Jammu Kashmir (IIOJK). She called upon world leaders to take decisive action in addressing these humanitarian crises.
Mullick also outlined the significant initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Human Rights, particularly focusing on the 100-day plan aimed at eradicating gender-based violence and promoting women’s empowerment. The plan encompasses various strategies, including capacity building, gender equality measures, and financial inclusion for underprivileged women.
SAPM Focal Person Sabien Hussein Mullick emphasized the importance of financial inclusion and startup opportunities for marginalized women, along with the necessity of gender-based violence campaigns to uplift women in society. Prof Zafar Sindhu, Advisor to SAPM, provided insights into the 100-day vision, highlighting the establishment of consultative committees on interfaith, transgender, Palestine, and Kashmir issues.

LCCI President Kashif Anwar echoed Mullick’s sentiments, stressing the critical role of human rights in ensuring justice and peace globally. He denounced the atrocities in occupied Kashmir and Palestine, emphasizing the significance of women’s participation in economic activities for national progress.
Anwar reiterated LCCI’s commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs through initiatives such as the Women Entrepreneurs Recognition Ceremony and the establishment of a Women Empowerment Lounge. He emphasized the importance of providing necessary training and support to women, including tax relief, to encourage entrepreneurship.

Mullick concluded by elaborating on the government’s comprehensive 100-day plan, emphasizing provisions for women, transgender, and minority rights. She urged businesses to play a proactive role in promoting transgender empowerment by offering employment opportunities.
The meeting underscored a collaborative effort between the government and business community to champion human rights, women’s empowerment, and socio-economic progress, fostering a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
