Empathy in action: Mushaal Mullick’s compassionate mission to aid Kashmiri refugees. In a heartfelt endeavor, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick led a compassionate initiative to distribute winter kits among refugees from Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) at the Kashmiri Refugees Camp in Muzaffarabad. Accompanied by Ms. Sabien Hussein Mullick and Dr. Raheem Awan, Mushaal Mullick’s two-day visit to AJK aimed to address the critical needs of those facing the harsh winter conditions.
The winter kits, comprising warm clothing, blankets, thermal socks, gloves, and other essentials, were distributed personally by Mushaal Mullick, who engaged in heartfelt conversations with the refugees. Expressing solidarity, she emphasized the collective responsibility to support those enduring adversity, particularly families forced to live away from their homeland due to Indian atrocities in IIOJK.

The Special Assistant expressed her unwavering belief in the liberation of Kashmir from Indian occupation, advocating for the right of displaced families to return home. Urging the UN to take immediate action for a plebiscite in accordance with its resolutions, she emphasized the need for families to rebuild their lives in a peaceful and just environment.

As part of her visit, Mushaal Mullick also inspected conditions at Central Jail Muzaffarabad, directing measures to facilitate prisoners. Emphasizing the importance of correctional facilities for the reformation of convicts, she underscored the fundamental human rights entitled to all individuals, including those in detention. Winter kits were distributed among prisoners, reflecting a commitment to extending empathy and support even in challenging circumstances.
