ISLAMABAD: The Faizabad sit-in probe commission has once again summoned Lt. General (retired) Faiz Hameed, according to media reports. The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) had organized a sit-in at Faizabad interchange on November 08, 2017, protesting against amendments in the Election Bill 2017.
Sources indicate that the summons were dispatched to Faiz Hameed through the defense ministry, directing the former ISI chief to appear before the probe commission for the recording of his statement in the Faizabad sit-in case. This marks the second time Faiz Hameed has been summoned in connection with the incident.

Notices were also sent to former IHC chief justice Anwar Khan Kasi, former registrar of the Supreme Court Arbab Muhammad Arif, and retired brigadier Irfan Ramay.
