Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a bilateral meeting with a high-level delegation from Indonesia led by President Prabowo Subianto in Islamabad.
As per the details, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Indonesia, exploring opportunities for cooperation in trade, defense, and regional security.

PM Shehbaz was accompanied by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of the Defence Forces, and Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik, Director General of the ISI and Pakistan’s National Security Advisor.
Officials from both sides discussed ways to enhance strategic partnership and deepen collaboration across multiple sectors, emphasizing mutual interests and regional stability.
The meeting highlighted Pakistan and Indonesia’s commitment to fostering stronger diplomatic, economic, and security relations in the years ahead.
In June 2022, PM Shehbaz Sharif made a major breakthrough in ensuring the supply of edible oil to the public.
Indonesian president conferred Nishan-e-Pakistan
Earlier on on Tuesday night, President Asif Ali Zardari conferred the highest civil award, Nishan-e-Pakistan, on his Indonesian counterpart Prabowo Subianto at a special investiture ceremony held at the President House.
PM Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other senior officials attended the ceremony.
