PSB Announces 8.3mn Cash Award for Volleyball Heroes. The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has announced Rs8.2 million for the victorious Under-16 volleyball team.

Each of the 12 players will receive Rs600,000 for their outstanding performance in the Under-16 volleyball championship.

Pakistan defeated Iran 3-2 in a thrilling final, remaining undefeated throughout the tournament. The Pakistan Sports Board confirmed that the prize money will be distributed in the coming days.

The coaching staff will also be rewarded, receiving 50% of the total prize amount. The head coach will get Rs1 million under the official prize distribution policy.

A PSB spokesperson said gold medalists in team events receive 30% of the total team award individually. The team’s win has brought pride to the nation and showcased rising talent in youth volleyball. The triumph has not only brought pride to the nation but also highlighted the rising standard of volleyball in Pakistan’s youth ranks.

Pakistan’s journey through the tournament was nothing short of flawless. The Green Shirts remained unbeaten, opening their campaign with a commanding 3-0 win over South Korea. They followed it up with another straight-sets victory over Indonesia in the crossover round.

In the semi-finals, Pakistan delivered a dominant performance against arch-rivals India, sweeping the match 25-16, 25-19, 25-12 with superior tactics, power, and precision.
