72-Page Pakistan Passport Complete Fee Update for July 2025. The Government of Pakistan issues passports to its legitimate citizens to facilitate international travel and ensure their protection abroad through the diplomatic support of Pakistani missions around the world.
A valid Pakistani passport entitles its holder to assistance and protection from Pakistan’s diplomatic and consular representatives while in a foreign country.
A passport serves as the sole official document confirming the identity of a Pakistani citizen abroad. It also secures their legal right to leave and re-enter the country.
All Pakistani citizens are eligible for a Machine Readable Passport (MRP) for international travel, provided they meet the necessary requirements.
After paying the prescribed passport fee, applicants must complete a series of steps at their nearest Regional Passport Office (RPO) to obtain the MRP.
There are two main ways to apply for a passport:
Online Application
This option is available for both inland and overseas Pakistanis seeking to renew their passports onlly. It also covers minor modifications and issuance of new passports for newborns residing abroad.
In-Person Application
Citizens can also apply directly at Regional Passport Offices within Pakistan or at Pakistani missions abroad for new passports, renewals, or updates.
This system is designed to streamline passport issuance while maintaining the integrity and security of travel documents for Pakistani nationals worldwide.
The department issues passports of different categories depending on the number of pages as the travel document is offered with 36, 72 and 100 pages.
72-Page Passport Fee Structure
For citizens applying for a 72-page Machine Readable Passport (MRP), the Government of Pakistan has set the following fee structure:
For a validity of 5 years, the normal fee stands at Rs8,200 and it will be Rs13,500 for urgent service.
For a validity of 10 years, the normal fee is Rs12,400 while the urgent fee stands at Rs20,200.
These fees apply to both new passport applications and renewals, and are subject to completion of all required formalities.
