The vacations across the province will begin from April 1 and continue till April 8.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has officially announced spring vacations for all government and private educational institutions under the Elementary and Secondary Education Department.
The vacations across the province will begin from April 1 and continue till April 8. According to the official notification, school staff including principals, head teachers and clerical staff will be required to report for duty from April 3 to April 8 after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
Their presence will ensure distribution of free textbooks and facilitate the admission process for new students as part of the ongoing enrolment drive. The provincial government has directed all concerned authorities to ensure strict compliance with the orders.
Stressing the importance of a smooth transition to the new academic session, the notification has been sent to the education department officials, deputy commissioners and the chief minister’s office.
The announcement follows similar decisions in Punjab, where the School Education Department has announced an extension of the Eid vacations for students. The move is aimed at providing a suitable break to students and teachers and ensuring that administrative and academic preparations continue without any disruption.
