NADRA Introduces New Service for Bank Deposits Through E-Sahulat. In a recent development, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has recently introduced a service that allows Pakistani citizens to deposit money in their accounts at over 50 banks through NADRA e-Sahulat.
This facility will be available at more than 9,000 e-Sahulat franchises throughout the country, with biometric verification of the depositors.
This initiative aims at ensuring broad access to financial services and expanding digital banking throughout the country. NADRA also clarified that problems arising from the biometrics are not a result of its system, and facilities for identity verification through the “Verisys” system are available to all financial institutions.
This ground-breaking step follows an agreement signed between NADRA Technologies Limited and 1LINK. The ceremony was attended by State Bank of Pakistan Deputy Governor Saleemullah and the NADRA Chairman.
Additionally, NADRA is introducing a facial recognition verification system, jointly with the State Bank of Pakistan and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. This service will be given access to all banks and telecom operators once completed.
