Kuwait announces three days off for Shab-e-Miraj. The Kuwaiti Civil Service Commission has declared a three-day public holiday from Thursday, January 30, to Saturday, February 1, to commemorate Isra Wal Miraj, also known as Shab-e-Miraj.
Although Isra Wal Miraj officially falls on January 27, the Kuwaiti Cabinet has decided to observe the holiday on Thursday, providing residents with an extended weekend.
During this period, all government departments and public institutions will be closed, resuming operations on Sunday, February 2. Essential services will adjust their holiday schedules to ensure uninterrupted operations.
This holiday honours the significant event in Islamic tradition, marking Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) journey and ascension.
