Eight flights from Islamabad to Karachi have been cancelled while 35 others have been delayed.
Intense weather disrupts PIA flight schedule. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Thursday cancelled and delayed several flights due to inclement weather, adversely affecting its flight schedule across the country.
Eight flights from Islamabad to Karachi have been cancelled while 35 others have been delayed.
The cancelled flights include PK-301 and PK-368 from Karachi to Islamabad and PK-455 and PK-456 from Karachi to Skardu. Additionally, four flights from Islamabad to Gilgit including PK-601, 602, 605, and 606 have also been cancelled.
Several international flights were delayed by one and a half to two and a half hours, including from Karachi to Dubai, Damascus, Muscat, Madinah, Jeddah, and Baghdad.
The departure of PIA flight PK 301 from Islamabad was delayed by an hour and a half, while PK 302 for Lahore will now depart at 11 am, three hours later than the scheduled time.
Flights PK 304 and PK 305 between Lahore and Karachi are delayed by one and a half hours, flight PK 335 from Lahore to Dubai will depart one hour late.
Additionally, flight PK229 from Lahore to Muscat is delayed by four hours, with a new departure time of 2pm, and flight PK189 from Lahore to Bahrain is now delayed by five hours to 11:30pm.
Other delayed flights include Lahore-Skardu PA 251 and Jeddah ER 801, both delayed by two hours, as well as Lahore-Dubai PA 216 and Riyadh PA 274, both delayed by two and a half hours.
Flights from Lahore to Sharjah, Dubai, Kuwait City, Jeddah and Muscat will also be delayed by one and a half hours.
Islamabad to Muscat flights are delayed by two and a half hours, while Islamabad to Kuala Lumpur flight PK 894 is delayed by three hours.
Flight PK 245 to Dammam is also delayed by two hours. PIA flight PK 243 from Sialkot to Dammam will now depart at 12:30 PM which is two and a half hours behind schedule.
Apart from this, the foreign airline flight SV 795 from Multan to Jeddah was delayed by two and a half hours due to bad weather.
