ISLAMABAD: In response to security concerns during Muharram, the federal government has greenlit the deployment of Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces across Islamabad, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to an official notification, the deployment specifics will be coordinated with relevant authorities. This move, approved indefinitely, aims to bolster security measures, with withdrawal decisions subject to mutual consultation.
The decision follows requests from provinces for a rapid response force, empowering them to determine the extent and locations of army deployments.
