ISLAMABAD: After seven years of long wait, the Punjab govt is going to restore the “Laptop Scheme”. Under this scheme, the Punjab govt provides laptops to qualified students so that they can use them for their educational purposes.
CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz announced the revival of the scheme, focusing on higher education sector reforms.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed officials to bring back the laptop program for students. Consequently, after seven years, students from all of the province’s educational institutions will once again benefit from government-provided computers.

She gave the order to open new colleges and institutions in the province’s less developed areas.
During the discussion, CM Punjab stressed the significance of creating institutions and colleges that reach international standards throughout the province.
Officials provided CM Maryam with a briefing on the promotion of higher education, as well as the provision of laptops and transport facilities for students.
