PCB dissolves selection committee; new line-up to be announced soon. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dissolved the existing selection committee, it was learnt on Sunday morning. This announcement came through a statement made by a spokesperson for the PCB.
Moreover, the PCB spokesperson went on to assure cricket enthusiasts that a new selection committee would soon be unveiled. “The new selection committee will be announced imminently,” he said, hinting at swift action to fill the void left by the dissolution.
Emphasising the commitment to transparency and fairness in the selection process, the PCB spokesperson reiterated, “The new selection committee will operate independently, making decisions solely on merit to select the team.”
Furthermore, the PCB spokesperson assured that the decisions taken by the new selection committee would be transparent and open for scrutiny. “Decisions made on the merits of the new selection committee will be transparent and accountable,” he added.

Former cricketer Wahab Riaz was working as Chief Selector in the committee, along with Tauseef Ahmed, Wajahatullah Wasti and Waseem Haider. Kamran Akmal and Rao Iftikhar Anjum were also part of the selection committee as consultants.
