Faysal Bank launches “Faysal Islami Remittance Agahi Programme” to promote legal remittances. Faysal Bank Limited (FBL), a prominent Islamic financial institution in Pakistan, has officially launched the “Faysal Islami Remittance Agahi Programme” as part of a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting awareness about the importance of legal remittance channels. This programme, introduced in partnership with the State Bank of Pakistan’s Pakistan Remittance Initiative (PRI), seeks to educate local communities on the vital role of remittances in Pakistan’s economy while discouraging the use of informal methods for transferring money.
The programme kicked off in Mandi Bahauddin, where senior officials from PRI joined Faysal Bank representatives in the inaugural event. The roadshow will continue with similar sessions across the country to ensure widespread outreach.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ziad Aftab Ejaz, Head of Global Home Remittance at Faysal Bank, highlighted the challenges of raising awareness about secure remittance methods. “We recognize the barriers such as a lack of understanding and the prevalent use of informal channels. Through the Faysal Islami Remittance Agahi programme, we aim to educate people about the benefits of using legal remittance services, which ensures safe and efficient fund transfers for overseas Pakistanis and their families,” he stated.
The initiative aligns with Faysal Bank‘s broader vision of supporting financial inclusion and fostering economic growth in Pakistan. As part of this effort, the bank promotes its Tez Tareen Remittance service, which ensures fast and reliable money transfers.
The launch event featured interactive sessions and recognition awards for families who regularly use FBL’s remittance services, reinforcing the significance of secure financial transactions. Through such initiatives, Faysal Bank continues its commitment to enhancing the economic well-being of Pakistan’s people, especially those with family members working abroad.
