Heavy Rainfall Expected Across the Country, Warns NDMA. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a weather advisory predicting heavy rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in various parts of Pakistan from February 18 to 22.
According to NDMA’s National Emergencies Operation Centre, upper and northeastern Punjab, including Potohar region, Murree, Galiyat, and Islamabad, are expected to experience rain and snowfall between February 19 and 21.
Northern and northwestern Balochistan will likely witness thunderstorms, cold winds, and snowfall from February 18 to 20, while upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is also expected to receive rain and snow during the same period.
Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir may experience cloudy weather, heavy winds, rain, and snowfall on February 19 and 20.
Meanwhile, Sindh is expected to remain mostly cold and dry, with similar conditions prevailing in most parts of the country on February 21 and 22.
NDMA has directed relevant authorities to take necessary precautionary measures in response to the forecasted weather conditions.
