ISLAMABAD: The anti-corruption authorities have detained Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Pervez Elahi and obtained one-day transitory remand.
According to the sources, Parvez Elahi was taken to the judicial complex for one-day transitory remand, where duty judge Shahrukh Arjamand has given one-day transitory remand, and the court ordered Parvez Elahi to appear in the relevant court by tomorrow.

Outside the Judicial complex, lawyer Sardar Abdul Razaq speaking to the media that Pervez Elahi has arrested for the 12th time.
He said that Parvez Elahi was detained from Adiala Jail on behalf of the anti-corruption cell. In answer to a question, Sardar Abdul Raziq said that Pervez Alahi is a very strong person, he will not hold a press conference. Reporter asked a question from Sardar regarding Moonis Elahi, lawyer denied to talk about him.
Lahore Police wants on transitory remand and taken him to Lahore, his bail has been granted yesterday in the Islamabad Judicial Complex attack case, he added.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi (born 1 November 1945) is a Pakistani politician who is the former Chief Minister of Punjab. He was a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from August 2018 till January 2023, when he, as chief minister, dissolved the assembly.
