Pakistan, China Hold Joint ‘Warrior-IX’ Counterterrorism Exercise

Pakistan, China Hold Joint ‘Warrior-IX’ Counterterrorism Exercise. Pakistan Army and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) are holding the joint counterterrorism exercise Warrior-IX from 28 November to 14 December 2025, a two-week drill designed to boost interoperability and deepen military cooperation between the two nations.

The Distinguished Visitors Day (DVD) ceremony took place at the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) Pabbi, on 11 December 2025. Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong graced the event as the Chief Guest, accompanied by senior dignitaries from China, while the Chief of General Staff, Pakistan Army, attended as the Guest of Honour.

During the visit, honourable guests were briefed on the scope, objectives, and conduct of the joint exercise. They witnessed various counterterrorism drills and appreciated the professionalism, operational competence, and high morale demonstrated by the participating troops from both sides.

The exercise reflects strong defence collaboration between Pakistan and China and reaffirms the commitment of both Armed Forces to working together for peace and stability.

Earlier, Pakistan and Oman enhanced maritime security cooperation as Royal Navy of Oman vessels Al Rasikh and Al Shinas arrived in Karachi for 12th Thamar Al Tayyab (TAT) 2025 exercise.
