According to the details, the Ministry of Defense, after the approval of the President, has issued a notification to extend the tenure of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu as the Chief of the Pakistan Air Force.
The term of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar as the Chief of the Pakistan Air Force has been extended by 2 years.
The notification states that the extension of the tenure will be effective from March 19, 2026.
This notification has been issued under Article 243 of the Constitution of Pakistan and Section 10-B of the Air Force Act.
Earlier, a notification was also issued to appoint Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as the Chief of Defense Forces.
According to the notification, Field Marshal Asim Munir has been appointed for a period of five years.
This notification has been issued under Article 247 of the Constitution of Pakistan and Section 8-A of the Army Act.
