Govt Announces 10-Day Marriage Leave for Civil Servants’. The government of United Arab Emirates (UAE) has approved a new leave policy for civil servants in Dubai. Under this policy, eligible employees will receive 10 days of paid wedding leave.
As per the details, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum issued the order, he is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The policy applies to all civil servants, excluding military personnel, while the employees on leave cannot be recalled, except in military emergencies.
If military staff are called back early, they can use remaining days later, the Employees who miss their leave window may carry it forward to the next year. This is only allowed with supervisor approval and a valid reason.
The initiative aims to promote work-life balance and strengthen family bonds.
