Weather Alert: Heavy Rain & Strong Winds Predicted in Pakistan starting Tomorrow. A new weather system is entering Pakistan which will bring heavy rain with thunderstorms in various regions of Pakistan starting Monday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Warm Westerly winds from thousands of miles away will enter the northern regions of the country this evening and will continue till March 16.
Rain is predicted to fall in different cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal from Monday. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to have rainy weather in Peshawar, Charsadda, Haripur, Kurram, Bannu, DI Khan, and Waziristan, from March 10.
Thunderstorms are expected in Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Karak, Kohat, and Khyber, while snowfall has been predicted in the upper regions of the province. Rainfall is expected in Punjab too, with Lahore, Sargodha, Sialkot, Narowal, and Faisalabad likely receiving rain from March 12 to 16.
Jhang and Mianwali would also expect rains, while heavy rainfall is expected in some stretches of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan like Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Battagram this week. Multan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Quetta, Ziarat, and Chaman would have the ardent showers on 14th and 15th March.
